Southeast Lung Associates is currently seeking an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to join our growing, progressive practice in Hilton Head Island/ SC. Must work at our HH Island & Bluffton offices. Outpatient role. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (“LPN”) you would assist the provider by ensuring the scheduled patients’ charts are complete, the diagnoses are in the charts, the procedures are completed. You will support patients with their concerns and return calls with orders from the doctor. The LPN also receives hospital calls and consults, relays the information to the provider and follows provider instruction. Additionally, the LPN refers patients for labs and radiology while obtaining precertification, refers patients to other physicians, and orders DME equipment to support provider orders. Moreover, the LPN performs and obtains medication refills and prior authorizations, maintains the medication closet, maintains and records accurate information in the patient’s chart and assists with the check-in process. Clinical duties may also include taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, preparing patients for examination, performing spirometry tests and verifying/updating medications and drug allergy lists as directed by the Provider.
